31st July & 1st August National B Weekend
On the 31st July we have attracted a varied entry of cars from Bugatti members plus the Chester & Liverpool Championship, ANWCC, Longton Motor Club and the Midland Speed Championship. There is a large contingent of roadgoing saloons & sports cars plus modified production cars which are a very welcome sight, as these classes have been dwindling over the past few years.Outright honours should be a tight battle between Cornwall`s Mike Tregoning in his V6 2-litre Pilbeam and the young man who set FTD on 11th July, Alex Summers in his 1200cc OMS. Also in contention will be Nigel Morris in his DJ Firehawk and the father & son partnership of David & Peter Newton in the ex-Robert Kenrick Force. Welshman Tim Davies will also be looking to get amongst the leaders with the Pilbeam he shares with Bill Morris.
On Sunday 1st August, the Bugatti Championship are with us plus Chester & Liverpool, Longton M.C, Paul Matty Lotus and the Westfield Championship. There is again an excellent entry of roadgoing cars, a large contingent of Westfields plus 21 Lotuses contesting the Paul Matty Championship and an excellent varety of Classic cars. Outright honours should be another fierce contest between the aforementioned OMS and Pilbeam drivers renewing their battle from the previous day.
