HAGLEY WINS NORRIE GALBRAITH TROPHY AGAIN!

We have been awarded the prestigious Norrie Galbraith Trophy for the third year running!

The trophy is awarded to the Club whose British Championship event is voted the "Best in the Season". In 2007 and 2008 we won it for the June Loton Park event, but in 2009 it was the Easter meeting which was voted the winner. The award was presented to President Tony Millard & Clerk of Course Jim Gazey by Championship co-ordinator Tony Fletcher during the Championship Awards Dinner held at Chateau Impney. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time a "hat-trick" has ever been achieved since the inception of the award.

2010...75 years of H&DLCC and 50 years of Loton Park

As many of you already know, 2010 is a significant year for the Club when we celebrate our 75th anniversary and the 50th year of Loton Park hill climb.

Martyn Silcox and Jim Gazey are gathering as much archive information as they can, using our own records, but would welcome sight of any old photos, programmes, results, press releases or any other relevant material from the 30s, 40s. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s, which could be reproduced in the celebratory publication we are currently planning.

If you have access to any of this type of material please contact Dave Parr on clubsec@hdlcc.com.
