Superb week-end of Motor Sport at the Loton Vintage & Classic week-end

Two very different days were experienced on 12th & 13th July..the Saturday was cloudy with heavy showers,and the Sunday was a real old fashioned summer`s day. Despite the inclement weather on Saturday,the MG class record was shattered by Andy Kitson in his rapis works development TF

Nigel Morris set FTD in his DJ Firehawk,but was chased by Tim Davies in Bill Morris`s Pilbeam,who closed to within 1300th`s of a second 23 Ferraris contested the Pirelli Championship,and the class was won by Chris Butler in his F355.

On the Sunday,with blue skies all around,5 class record were re-set.Andrew Bennett shattered the 1100cc Historic record with his supercharged Cooper Mk.V,and Stewart Arkley shaved 100th from his own Pre-War Austin Seven record.The motorcycles were on devastating form with Glyn Poole breaking the 500cc record with his 56.51,and outright bike record holder Paul Jarrett improving on his own best to leave the new recoed at 56.15 seconds.

Nigel Morris completed a very successful week-end with a back-to-back FTD`s.

Morris Lubricants Loton Park Championship 2008

The Club is delighted to announce the support of Morris Lubricants for the 2008 Loton Park Championship.  The Championship proves ever more popular each year as it caters for all competitors no matter what car they drive or how experienced they are as it is a handicap based competition.

The 2008 Hagley Club Championship

The Club runs a Championship which is aimed to encourage Members involvement across the wide range of motor sport in which the Club is involved.  Not only are points scored for competing in the events but also for marshaling/officiating, attending working parties at Loton Park and supporting social events.
