Loton Park Midland Championship Round

The first visit of the UKChanges Midland Hillclimb Championship to Loton Park will be on the weekend of the 15th/16th May. In addition to MHCC competitors we are pleased to welcome 20 cars running in the Porsche Club Speed Championship and a Scottish contingent aiming to show the English and Welsh regulars how to drive a hill climb car.............We`ll see about that! Other notable entries are Paul Gill in his 8-litre V10 Dodge Viper, Roger Banks and his sister Fen Lewen in their V8 turbo Audi A4, TTC Loton Championship sponsor Graham Wynn in his superb Force LM001 sports libre car and Hagley Committee member Graham Loakes in his unique Lola-Porsche.

In the single seater classes, Bill Chaplin & Toby Moody take on David Oldridge and Anne Goodyear in the 600cc division, while Chris Aspinall will do his best to fend off the 1100cc challenge from the Rutland brothers and in the 1600cc class Will Hall defends his class record from the chasing pack' including Lee Adams in the Graham Wight junior built Raptor, father & son duo Peter & David Newton in the ex-Kenrick Force and OMS constructor Steve Owen in the works car. The 2-litre class looks like being a John Chalmers benefit, but no doubt Mike Tregoning, Tim Davies and James Williams will keep him on his toes. The unlimited capacity class is headed by Trevor Willis, who will hopefully have his new 3.3 litre engine installed, but Deryk Young is always on the pace at Loton. 15 classics and the 3 Hagley members classes complete a full entry.

Practice on Saturday 15th starts at 9.00 a.m, admission £10.00, and on Sunday at 9.30 am, admission £12.00.
