We have lost one of the stalwarts of Hagley & District Light Car Club and Loton Park.

Club member Adrian Carless passed away on Wednesday at the age of 93. He joined HDLCC in the ‘50s and has been the gateman at Loton Park, firstly with Harold Foster and then with Harold’s son, Ben, since 1970. Adrian missed less than a handful of Loton Park events in 48 years.

He lived in Prestatyn for around 40 years and right to the end used to drive to Loton on the Friday before the event and stay at a B&B in Alberbury.

He will be greatly missed.

His funeral will take place at the church in Prestatyn High Street at 11:00 on 02 January.
